Leibster Award #2

I am so happy to have been nominated for the Leibster Award for the second time! Thank you so much to Sabrina from http://ihavetoreadthat.blogspot.co.uk/ (@IHaveToRead_) who nominated me, and who also has a pretty awesome blog with a beautiful layout.
You can find out what the Leibster Award is in my first post about it here, and who I nominated myself. (I won't nominate again, since I have already done it, I'll just answer the questions)

So, here are the questions, wooooo!


1. What is the book that you re-read every year?

Hmm, this one is probably The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It's the only book that I've re-read for years, but I have a feeling that The Fault in Our Stars by John Green will be re-read every year too! Both books are incredible!

2. Hardbacks or paperbacks of ebooks?

 Well I don't have a kindle or anything, so definitely not ebooks, so I'm going to say paperbacks. I love hardbacks but they're just more difficult- heavier, more expensive, not as bendy haha. With paperbacks, I feel like I can take them anywhere and not be so paranoid about damaging it.

3. What are your reading goals for 2014?

My main goal was to read 100 books this year. So far, I've read 7, which I don't think is on track, but I'm going to carry on either way. I did a post about my Ambitions for 2014, so I hope I can achieve all of these things. 

4. What book are you recommending everyone reads at the moment?

I finished reading Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell a couple of days ago and enjoyed it so much! At the minute, I'm raving about this book, and then also Divergent by Veronica Roth which I loved more than I thought I would.

5. Favourite snack to nibble on whilst reading?

Oh my god, anything chocolate-y or cake-ish! I have a really sweet tooth, mainly for chocolate or cakes or chocolate cake but I could eat so much before I stop- I think I'm addicted! Mmmm, now I'm hungry.

6. Who is your fictional character crush?

Four. Four, Four, Four, Four, Four! Without a doubt, it's Four from the Divergent trilogy. I don't even know why, but I love him so much! Oh my goshhhhhhh

7. If you could hang out with 5 fictional characters, who would they be? (Dead or alive from the fictional world)

This is a really hard one because there are so many characters I love! But, if I reallllyyyy had to choose, it would be Four from Divergent, Eleanor from Eleanor and Park, Jack from Room by Emma Donoghue, Holden from The Catcher in The Rye by J.D Salinger and Augustus from The Fault in Our Stars. That was so difficult!

8. What snack do you snack on whilst reading? 

Haha, I think this would be the same answer as for question 5! :P

9. What's your guilty pleasure?

Hmmm, definitely chocolate and cake- if someone offers me anything resembling either, I can't refuse!

10. What's a bad habit that you have?

Probably getting easily annoyed by things, like when people are rude or whatever, and it usually ruins my day.

11. Craziest thing you've done?

Well this is upsetting, as I can't think of anything really. :(((( I do some weird and funny things with my friends but nothing *crazyyy*! Hopefully I can change that... comment something crazy I should do... (I might regret this haha)

Leibster Award!

I was so happy when I found out that Jenny from jennyinneverland.wordpress.com had nominated me for a Leibster Award! It made my day and I was so, so pleased, especially as my blog is still relatively small. Have a look at Jenny's blog because the design is beautiful and her reviews are awesome! Thank you Jenny!

If you don't know what a Leibster Award is, it is basically an online award that is generally given to new bloggers, usually with under 200 followers. If you get nominated then you have to answer 10 questions given to you by the blogger that nominated you. You then nominate 10 people yourself and you ask them 10 questions! I think that this is such a good idea.

The questions I was asked to answer from Jenny are:

         1. What’s the best book you’ve ever read and why?
Oh my god, this is such a hard question to answer! There are a few that I found it so hard to choose between, but I think it has to be The Fault in our Stars by John Green. This is because after I read it, I re-read it straight away and have read it so many more times since because I just think the story and the characters are amazing.

        2. Are you a cat or a dog person? 
I am definitely a dog person, I love them so much! I've had two dogs and I love any breed really. 

       3.What is your greatest achievement?
This Leibster Award haha? Does that count? Other than blogging, I don't think I've done anything yet that is even worth mentioning but I truly hope to change that.

        4. If you were in The Hunger Games, what would be your weapon of choice? 
Hmmm, The Hunger Games are up in my top 10 books ever, but I haven't ever thought of this. I think I would probably just run as far away from everyone else in the arena and try to stay hidden... but for a weapon, that is hard. I think that probably a bow and arrow would be my choice because it would let me stay far away but still shoot. Plus, I'd feel like Katniss just by wearing it, which would be pretty cool.

        5. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
I have two favourite things: one is the other bloggers and just really nice people who I've spoken to since starting blogging. Everyone has been really helpful and even though I'm pretty new and probably clueless, some bloggers are so kind and welcoming. I can't mention them all but I hope they know who they are already. :')
And number two is the fact that I have my own space to write my thoughts and a place where I know that there are other people who enjoy reading too. It provides me with something to think about and look forward to, which I love.

        6. What's your favourite time of the year?
It has got to be Summer. The time of year where it starts to get really hot and you wake up in the morning to sunshine. You can go out without wearing 34 layers of clothes and the days last longer and can be filled with exciting things and trips out with friends. I love the idea of Winter- hot chocolate and movies- but the reality for me is just being cold and wet. 

        7. If an alien came to earth and asked you for a book recommendation what would you suggest?
This question is cool! Hmm, well if it's an alien, I'd want them to read a book which is true to life on Earth, so that they could be educated in our way of living, haha! So, I think that One Day by David Nicholls would have to be the one. 

        8. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
This question is a bit scary because I don't really know. I would be 20 in 5 year's time. I'm not sure what career I want yet, but I know that I would want to have got good enough GCSE's and A levels to go to University. To study what? I don't know. I would love to move to Brighton because it's my favourite place in the world and to keep on blogging, making my posts better and better. Also, I'd like to have gone somewhere abroad and maybe travelled or to do charity work in another country, building schools or something similar. Oh, and to get a dog, because they are just too cute.

        9. If you could be any character from a TV show who would it be and why?
I don't actually watch that much telly, so I don't actually know. Sorry :( 

        10. What famous person would you love to meet and why?
I'd love to meet Jennifer Lawrence because she seems like such a lovely and interesting person. I'm so shy though, so I'd probably just embarrass myself. I'd also love to meet John Green because he would probably have some great things to say. There's so many others, but I can't name them all or we would be here for a while!
